Comments: It occurred to me soon after the first demo here that it was silly to go back through the teleporter on this map when you could just run through the crusher room right away, so I made a mental note that that route needs to be the way. That said, there are two things that I didn't fully anticipate that make this route much more random:
  1. The lost soul often does not fall asleep, because it's hard to be out of view of it fast enough for it not to see you. This I figured would be a problem, but it's harder than it seemed. That said, this isn't even that relevant because of point 2. which is:
  2. By triggering the crusher early, the asleep lost soul strat no longer really works, and it took a bit for me to realize that. Essentially, while the vast portion of the map propagates sound everywhere, the crushers do block the sound, and they block it for longer than you might think because of the raised elevator, which means they only have to be lowered to below the elevator floor height in order to block sound. Because of this, there's a pretty small window of time every cycle when you can wake up the lost soul, and around the time you would want to be able to wake up the lost soul, the sound is blocked.

Short of skipping both crusher lines (something I would not want to grind obviously), there's not much you can do besides hope that the awake lost soul goes in the right direction, which is what happened in the only exit I had, where I fluked it before I realized that the asleep strat was not working out (here, I did accidentally leave the lost soul awake). Upon realizing this was happening, I lost any interest in sub-30s, since I already had an exit where that worked out.
