Attempts: ~200 first success, +58 to make UV speed, +58 more to improve UV MAX (just a coincidence)

I have a longer write-up for the UV-max attempt, but suffice to say that the clean-up is actually less time-consuming than trying to take on challenges as they come. I improved my previous result by full 2 minutes by executing an UV speed route instead of my previous one. With that in mind, every point is applicable to UV max just as well.

The shotgun/plasmagun and soulsphere secrets are very time-consuming detours so UV speed they don't matter. Even Blue armor costs 5-10 seconds minimum, even if you draw archvile from there - UV speed doesn't really have a reason to spend this time. Balcony-megasphere two secret chain also costs 10 seconds, but the reliability of five rockets and a megasphere for the final segment are nice for practice runs. I suppose you could also use 200/200 to plasma your way through hellknight past blue door, this *might* actually be worth the time.

Invulnerability secret I consider essential at my skill level, and it only costs ~3 seconds provided you have rockets to prevent imps from cornering you; it helps survive the two archviles among half the level's worth of monsters without losing any momentum. Having the option to point-blank rocket a gaggle of imps and stand in plain sight of the archvile while three hellknights are scratching is nice.
