have i improved at all in the past 5 months since i last demoed this level?
well, the original demo was 19:59 and this one is... 19:55.  but!  we have way
better control over health and ammo the whole way through.  as well as a
generally better strategy for the first room, which is where most of the
difficulty comes from.  i get stuck early and somehow manage to not get killed,
and from there we can eventually loop around the mancubi too to keep everything
up against the central wall.  there honestly isn't too much to report after
that.  although i did try a new strategy for that cyberdemon that pops out
after grabbing the first secret.  we only grab that secret after clearing out
the subsequent room.  i had been hoping to lure it out there... but it can't
fit through the tunnel.  could have went for broke with the bfg but i was
pretty sure i'd get tagged with a rocket so i settled for cowardly pokes with
the super shotgun.  and once again caught slightly off guard that by the time
you reach the spider mastermind there are a dozen enemies left in the level,
courtesy of a large number of chaingunners mostly offing themselves.
