GG Vytaan and DragonFly! What an amazing beginner-level slaughtermap. I wanted to record a demo for this map because after completing Vindaloo casually, I thought that this map is at the perfect skill level where I'm currently at. Spicy enough to be challenging, while also being easy enough for me to complete.

My goal wasn't to beat Crusader's time but just to do a UV Max demo. However, after some of my practice runs my PB was around 21-22 minutes with all the strategies I came up with. So I realized that there's a good possibility at actually beating Crusader's time. Was not expecting a sub 21, more around a 21:30 but this was a nice surprise. Sub 20 is probably possible if you're super aggressive in certain parts. You honestly get a lot of resources in some of the fights that allow you to be more aggressive so I wouldn't be surprised if someone beats my time. I'm obviously not the best player and there's a lot to improve with my gameplay.

I would like to go over all my strategies but I think the demo speaks for itself. Instead I kind of want to rank each fight now that I've gotten through all of them. These rankings are pretty arbitrary and are more based on how balanced/fun I found them to be rather than difficulty.

Fight 1 - Chaingun Slaughter (4/5)
A pretty deceptively challenging fight. You'd think since the majority of monsters are Zombiemen it would be pretty simple, but you run out of space pretty fast and can easily get trapped once the Pinkies start swarming in. The limited resources and the resource placement is also a nice way to increase the difficulty of this fight. Once I got the pattern down, I sort of turn on Autopilot mode, until multiple Pinkies start showing up. Overall a pretty nice fight

Fight 2 - SSG Slaughter (3/5)
A nice fight in concept and still well designed. Being swarmed by Imp while having to rely on the multi-kill aspect of the Super Shotgun is cool and similarly with the first fight, there's limited resources and space which is the main challenge of this fight. My main issue is that there's sort of an RNG factor with the SSG. If you get low damage rolls some Imps just won't die and I haven't check but I'm 90% sure there is a blockmap bug in this arena, which is awesome when an Imp survives a point-blank SSG shot. Also with the Cacos, sometimes it takes 3 shots, sometimes 2. Which can be kind of annoying. Honestly though, this fight is still easy enough to the point where surviving isn't too bad if you know what you're doing, and its still over all well designed. I specifically like how resources teleport in throughout the fight. With the Archviles, I really like their inclusion. They add more than they don't imo and they were never really an issue if you know how to avoid them.

Fight 3 - Lava Moat (5/5)
Really enjoyable fight. Don't have much to say other than its really fun and well balanced. The platform forcing you to move along the arena is a really cool idea and all the aspects to the arena really adds to the experience.

Fight 4 - Platforming (3/5)
My least favorite fight in the entire map. I think the concept itself is cool and its done well enough, it just feels like RNG can screw you over big time, especially if the Cybers fire in an unusual pattern. Dodging the rockets are fine enough, but its the Imps that can get pretty annoying. The slight red tint you get from getting hit combined with the small sprites of the Cyber rockets can be annoying to properly see an dodge. Also with all the infighting the Cybers tend to get in, makes the rockets more unpredictable. In phase 2 with all the Revs, sometimes the Cyber's can fire in a way that hits the wall next to you and you take massive splash damage. I've had runs where I'm killing the Revs and I'm dodging Rev Missiles, so a Cyber briefly sees me, fires and rocket at the wall behind and I take too much damage and die. Feels like there's not much I can really do in that situation. Phase 3 is the best phased and the most balanced imo. I don't have much issues with it.

Fight 5 - Barons and Boners (5/5)
I think this is my favorite fight in the entire set. Well balanced, fun, and might there might be too much resources. 4 Green Armors, a Mega, and 4 Supercharages. Yeah that's a lot and is really the only issue I have with the fight, but I the fight itself to be so good, that its not that big of a deal to me. All my deaths in this fight all felt like my fault rather than some garbage RNG.

Fight 6 - BFG Spam (5/5)
The final fight, yeah its good. Similar to fight 5, probably too many resources, but I kind of like that in this case since you can be really aggressive here because of it. Everything I did in the demo, was a part of my strategy I came up with, with a few improvisation moments. It's a fun fight climax to this map, nothing really more to say. Honestly this was one of my more sloppy runs of this fight. Could've waited longer before pushing out when I was horseshoeing on the "stage," could've fired more rockets at the start of phase 2, wasted some resources here and there, some of my movement probably wasn't the best, but still good enough to beat the map :)
